This event is going to be “Popular!” A dream come true event for sweethearts (ages 2-12) and their dads, grandfathers, or special friends. Join us at the Historic Holmes Theatre for an “Unlimited” night of music, dancing, food, and activities that will always be “For good.”

The Vern Turner Memorial Bonspiel is a large Annual 3 Day curling tournament that attracts top teams from across the region. The tournament features a very festive atmosphere in the clubhouse that contributes the overall experience of the event. If you’ve never seen curling or are interested in the sport, come out and watch for a while, even if you’re not playing!

This event is free and open 24/7! Come out and enjoy our Fourth Annual Polartry Poetry Walk! It’s a fun, free public art project with original poetry on display under the beautiful lights in the City Park. Our goal is to celebrate a love of language that inspires and promotes poets of all ages, while also providing outdoor public art that encourages people to get outside and make the most of winter in Minnesota.

No fee, indoor wintery wonderland full of activities for families with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Pancakes with sausage and coffee, juice or milk. All proceeds support youth and community activities. Open to the Public. (Ticket Pricing Coming Soon)

16th Annual Poles N Holes ice fishing derby sponsored by Detroit Lakes Breakfast Rotary Club, this derby raises funds to support area literacy, youth sports, senior citizen programs and community projects.

For the last 30 years, THE PEKING ACROBATS have redefined audience perceptions of Chinese acrobatics. They defy gravity with amazing displays of contortion, flexibility, and control. They push the envelope of human possibility with astonishing juggling dexterity and incredible balancing feats. They are masters of agility and grace. Often accompanied by live musicians skillfully playing traditional Chinese instruments and high-tech special effects to create an exuberant entertainment event featuring all the excitement and festive pageantry of a Chinese Carnival!

Students will get sponsors to donate money towards board breaking which we then split to donate to the local food shelf and our Jose Muzquiz Scholarship Fund. We have had a blast the last few years and donated over a thousand dollars each year to the Becker County Food Pantry. This event is everyone’s FAVORITE EVENT! Please come support us!

We turn down the lights low, so you can GLOWWWWW!!! Spend the evening at the VFW for a night of ‘not your average’ VFW Cosmic Bingo!! We play 11 Games of Bingo with two Jackpots on the $500 Turtle & $1000 on Blackout. We’ll also play meat raffles, run races, serve delicious food and great drinks! Save the date for Cosmic Bingo, it’s on the Second Friday of Every Month!!!

Professional flyers will bring their spectacular, giant kites to color the skies! Kites range in size from 10’ to 100’! Bring your own kite to fly along with the pros! On Little Detroit Lake near West Lake Drive in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
