What is a Break-A-Thon?

A break-a-thon is an event where students collect pledges and break boards to raise money for a particular charity. Break-a-thons are tons of fun for the participants and of great benefit to the community through the sponsored charity.  We are giving half of our Donations to The Area Food Shelf and the other half will go towards a Scholarship fund for Black Belts from our gym who will soon be entering college.  Last year we were able to Donate $1600 to the food pantry and put the same amount in an account for Black Belts whom are graduating from High School

What we are asking from you ?

We hope that Students can get sponsors to pledge/donate money for students to break boards. Minimum pledge of $1 a board, and sponsors may limit the amount of boards they will pledge to. People may also make a general donation to the fundraiser.  All donations are tax deductible as they will go to the Booster Club which has 501(c)3 Status.

The Day of the Event we will need Board holders and Students to break boards.  We did our Break-A-Thon last year and had a blast. Kids challenge themselves and accept challenges from the passers by.

The Day of the Event we will also be taking Specific Donations from the crowd for “Fancy Breaks”, Multiple Board Stacks, Timed Breaks, or Brick Breaks. We will also be doing Demonstrations for the Public and hopefully Sneaking some Practice time in too.
