The palace is being built throughout January with the grand lighting ceremony at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8 and the palace will be lit throughout Polar Fest. On Monday, February 19 the palace will be taken apart.

A fun story about the palace is that it was built as the home of King Isbit, the King of All Seasons for All Reasons in Detroit Lakes. Of course, there's a legend that goes with King Isbit!
